UNIQUE AND UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE YOUR COMPANY'S PROFILE

DWAYNE BLACK the holder of Seven World Records with more to come

Dwayne could boast being along side the great Ian Thorpe as the only Australian athlete to hold four or more current World Records.
Dwayne's success has seen him enjoy national and international media attention elevating him to the most recognised shearer on the planet

Dwayne has already attracted wide media interest in a range of forms including appearances on local, national and international radio, TV, magazines, rural papers, articles and photos in many major Newspapers and Internet websites the World over. Some of which are detailed below. The promotion has helped project competitive shearing and Dwayne's achievements into the spotlight like never before, accessing new socio groups who are in awe of Dwayne's immense speed, skill and stamina

  • Our goals for Dwayne's continuing journey are unprecedented and ground-breaking

One of these challenges sees him attempt to be the first shearer to shear 700 sheep of any description in a day on Australian soil under World Record rules, and before this a crack at a eight hour World Cross-Bred Lamb Record, possibly shearing over 100 more sheep than the existing record.

Dwayne remains the only competitive shearer in the world to set two new records within six months of each other.
We wish to go into these "ground breaking" events with the financial confidence to continue to supply a professional, well presented, well advertised and smoothly run spectacle that will move away from the rural shed to more central locations where they can be enjoyed by more of the general public.

Sponsorship is of the event itself, of the individual or a combination of both.
There are varying levels of sponsorship. Sponsors benefits are obviously directly related to your company's commitment and input to our ongoing journey and it's growing interest as  nouveau entertainment.

We believe the potential is there for Dwayne and his sponsors to capture a world wide general audience due to the massive task he’s set himself as we have already received massive media coverage
We believe we can improve on what Dwayne achieved with media promotion on this next record which will be held on the Bendigo Show day at the Show itself in October 2005
There we can maximise publicity for everyone and also broadcast Nationally and internationally through media, and also as it happens through the internet

We have some creative ideas which we believe would, in combination with yours, create a unique and unprecedented package as a highly effective vehicle for your company and/or product.
All levels of support can be accommodated - large or small, we welcome your involvement

Dwayne has World record attempts in Australia and New Zealand planned over the next 18 months
But this opportunity is far greater than visible support limited to one man.  Shearing records require a large, specialised and consistent input from a team of 5 people ongoing, and another 30 on each record day.  These people present a broad platform of opportunity and are pulled from throughout Australasia.
We are seeking support in such areas as sports nutrition, specialised training and sports treatments for Dwayne specifically.

Other scope for sponsorship involvement for your company and/or product extends through a range of categories for Dwayne's team such as clothing/uniforms, air fares, other travel, accommodation and meals, freight, communication, shed set-up and specialised equipment (e.g live satellite data transfer), signage, insurance, consultants, farmers expenses.
In order for a  shearing record to be recognised as "official", it must be conducted according to a strictly enforced set of rules.  Each attempt requires a payment of US$1600 to the World Shearing Records committee.  Click
Three referees from the international pool maintained by the committee are sent to oversee the world record attempt and ensure all requirements are met in full. Uniformity of all attempts is paramount.

Sponsors are a key component of successful World Shearing Record attempts and we are fortunate to have been involved with the following sponsors in our last records and thank them for their support. We are looking for sponsors who would like to support the next World Record attempts and be publicised for doing so

Television coverage, media coverage, internet, and radio will be our main avenue for publicity, as well as magazines, and promotional clothing
Benefits for sponsors of  the next world records are extensive and if interested please
