The small town of Badgingarra, on the Brand Highway, 240 kms north of Perth, will come alive with the sounds Auctioneers, shearing handpieces and freshly shorn sheep.

Friday the 6th of September, Badgingarra holds its first sheep and ram sale, followed by a Farmers Forum with guest speakers issuing up to date information on the sheep and wool industries. After the forum, the opportunity to mingle with the speakers and other guests while tasting some of W.A's finest wines and cheeses.

Friday evening 6th, a Quick Shears Competition commences, along with heats for Shearing and Woolhandling with full bar facilities available.

On Saturday the 7th of September, the shearing and woolhandling continues. This year Badgingarra is holding the WA State Selection event for Champion Shearer and Woolhandler, to compete at the National Championships in Esperance, where the Australian Shearing & Woolhandling Team to the World Championships in Scotland in June 2003 will be selected

The current World Champion Woolhandler, Aroha Garvin, who recently won the World Title in South Africa, will be present at Badgingarra for this event.

During the day, we have entertainment for the kids, including Sci Tech demonstrations and coaching from W.A.I.S. Stalls from local businesses, plenty to eat and drink.

Musical entertainment at lunchtime and then again in the evening, along with a Hangi to fill you up after a great day.
