National Committee
Sport Shear Australia Association Inc. (SSAA) is a National committee, where each State in Australia that has a Sport Shear State committee, can be represented, have input and have two votes		 National Championships
Sports Shear Australia Association (SSAA) conduct a National Competition Annually. 2 shearers and 2 woolhandlers are selected by their Sports Shear Australia State committee, to compete at the Nationals
Australian Shearing Team
The National Winners and Runner-ups in shearing and woolhandling are the Australian Shearing Team.
They compete at World Championships, and with the 3rd placed Shearer, in the shearing and woolhandling tests with New Zealand		 Trans-Tasman Test Series
A shearing and woolhandling test series between the New Zealand and Australia Team is also conducted twice per year. Once at the Nationals in the last quarter of the year, and the return match at Golden Shears, Masterton, New Zealand in the first quarter

S.S.A.A. Inc. gives any Australian citizen the opportunity to represent their Country in an Open competition under international rules.  -  The only stipulation is they must be Australian citizens.
