Hosted by Robert and Irene McIntyre, who have lived in the area for a lifetime, and have extensive knowledge of local activities and amenities on offer. Irene and Robert have a beautiful home on the edge of the Waiau River.
Irene is a keen gardener with a passion for roses and peonies, to view and for sale.
Robert has spent his adult life working in the native bush, and has extensive knowledge of plants, wildlife, and the local hiking tracks. He can give excellent advice on the best walks, weather conditions, or provide a guiding service.

Situated in Tuatapere township.
Tuatapere, is nestled at the bottom of New Zealand. The town is regarded as the gateway to scenic Southland, including Fiordland National Park.
Close to Tuatapere is an expansive,  rugged, scenic coastline.  In addition to offering good quality accommodation, Robert and Irene provide a satisfying breakfast to set you up for the day.
